1. Introduction
Harfane ("App") is a Turkish and English word game published by ElfAi Technologies ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what data the Harfane mobile app (iOS and Android) collects, how we use it, and what control you have over it.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

3. Information We Collect
3.1 Account data
Your email address and, if you use Sign in with Apple or Google, the associated account identifier.
3.2 Profile data
Username, display name, avatar selection, rating, XP level, and game statistics.
3.3 Gameplay data
The matches you play, the moves you make, your scores, the preset chat messages you send, and your in-game inventory. Your letter rack is stored in a separate table protected by owner-only row-level security, so opponents cannot see the letters you are holding.
3.4 Notifications
A device push token, used to notify you when it is your turn or when a game event needs your attention.
3.5 Advertising data
Your advertising identifier and ad interactions, collected through Google AdMob in the free version of the App.
3.6 Subscription and purchase data
Your Harfane PRO entitlement status. Subscription transactions are managed through RevenueCat and processed by Apple or Google. Payment details are handled by the store and are never stored by us.
3.7 Technical data
Basic device and error information if the App crashes, collected only when crash reporting is enabled.
We do not collect your real name, phone number, precise location, or contacts.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create your account and manage your session
- Match players, validate moves server-side, and maintain scores, league standings, and statistics
- Notify you when it is your turn
- Show ads and fund the free version of the App
- Validate and manage Harfane PRO subscriptions
- Provide customer support
- Maintain security, detect cheating, and prevent abuse
- Improve the App and fix bugs
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Third-Party Services
Your data may be processed by the following service providers:
- Supabase — Authentication and database. Servers are hosted in the European Union.
- Google AdMob — Advertising in the free version. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Sign in with Apple & Google — Optional authentication.
- RevenueCat — In-app purchase and subscription management.
- Expo — Push notification delivery.
- Sentry — Crash and error reporting, when enabled.
- Apple App Store & Google Play — App distribution and payment processing.
Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review their policies.
6. Data Retention and Location
Account and game data are stored on Supabase in the European Union (eu-central-1). We retain data for as long as your account is active or as required by law. Subscription records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat are subject to their respective retention policies.
7. Data Sharing
We share information only with the service providers listed above, as necessary to operate the App, and when required by law or to protect our rights and our users.
Other players can see your public profile: your username, display name, avatar, rating, and the moves you make in a shared game. They cannot see your email address or your letter rack.
8. Advertising
The free version of Harfane shows Google AdMob ads. AdMob may use your advertising identifier to serve and measure ads. You can limit or reset ad personalization in your device settings. A Harfane PRO subscription removes all ads.
9. Children's Privacy
Harfane is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at support@elfai.dev.
10. Your Rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, or request deletion of your account and all associated game data. To make a request, contact support@elfai.dev.
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to restrict or object to processing, or to data portability.
You can manage subscription settings through your Apple ID or Google Play account.
11. International Transfers
Information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence through our service providers. By using the App, you understand that such transfers may occur.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including row-level security on player racks and server-side validation of every move. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above. Continued use of the App after changes become effective means the updated policy applies.
